Scar

Our lives leave behind markings, freckles and scars; some physical ones and some more emotional. When going through its glazing journey in the kiln, this form came home with a glass marking on its torso. This form represents the ability to embrace our 'imperfections' as the things that make us unique. This form dares you to see through the experience, to the lessons that the marking left behind. 

Each piece is lovingly hand-built in my home studio in Northcote, my patience and attention to detail is evident in every bust. You will notice that every body has their own story to tell, with each lump, bump and curve representing the ever changing nature of our own human bodies.
